what is that foolish thing
that makes you loose everything
just to win this one thing

how can it make you feel so lost
and found at the same time

It made me a fool
made me do things I would never have done
made me think thoughts I would never have thought
gave me a life that I could never have lived
a reason to live- for them it's just foolishness

nothing can stop it
they cannot persuade me
no one can take it
it is always there

it's burning inside me
like a pacemaker each step on my way
I can only surrender
to this intoxicating creature in me

even if I wanted to find a way round
there is none- cause it is there
wherever I'd go- it was right there
anywhere and everywhere
high and low and wide and deep

I cannot escape
and I don't want to
I am captivated
I am a fool.
